Living on Buekweg, 5.BA
Hamburg | 2020
On an area of around 6,000 sqm, the fifth construction phase of the "Living on Buekweg" project, a residential complex consisting of three three-storey buildings has been created. The residential buildings are characterised by a balance of practicality, individual address formation and clarity in manageable units.

They offer a total of 60 barrier-free 1.5 to 3-room flats, some with special consideration for the needs of senior citizens, some for dementia patients, and some for families. Two underground garages provide space for a total of 39 parking spaces.

The houses are built in masonry with braced lift shafts. As in the previous construction phases, two L-shaped buildings and a block with flat roofs form an open courtyard complex. The buildings bear the reddish clinker brick facades typical of Hamburg as facing masonry in a simple bond with bands that mark the continuous parapets of the storeys. The predominantly floor-to-ceiling plastic windows and the curtain-type concrete balconies have a light profile. Insulated glass elements in various shades of green set accents in the façade areas of the staircases.
