Bachstraße
Berlin | 2018
Well known for its architectural concept created in the 1950s the appearance of the “Hansaviertel” in Berlin encompasses the idea of a modern city as an urban landscape. Located near “Hansaviertel” the new residential complex is also meant to continue its architectural intentions. The ensemble consists of a fifteen-storey high-rise lying on the Altonaer Street and three low volumes positioned in the inner green area of the plot. The architects choose a light natural stone cladding for the lower buildings, implementing large balconies and room-high windows in the facades. The tower with a mainly glazed front allows wide views over the green areas of Tiergarten and Zoologische Garten.
