Lämmersieth 1-7
Hamburg | 2021
The new building was built in Barmbek in the district Hamburg-Nord at the corner Bramfelder Straße / Lämmersieth, north of the Osterbek Canal.

The existing buildings were taken down in three sections, beginning with the buildings on Bramfelder Strasse, and then replaced.
The mixed use of HBH's new residential and parking offices is spread over a total of six building sections (Bramfelder Strasse 36, Lämmersieth 1-7 and an underground car park in the courtyard).
The gross floor area of the complete basement plant is approx. 9,500m². In addition to the application for housing subsidies from IFB, energy subsidies from KfW (KfW-Effizienshaus-70) for the housing component and funds from IFB for the construction of extensive green roofs were applied for.
The architecture of the buildings is based on the surrounding buildings and the traditional clinker brick architecture of the workers' housing estates in Hamburg Barmbek. The reduced material structure and division of the building create a contemporary expression.
